Track Seeks Expansion to Bring Thoroughbred Racing to Los Alamitos
The Los Alamitos Race Track is looking to expand to accommodate thoroughbred racing.
Los Alamitos Race Track officials next month will present a plan to the Cypress City Council that would expand the race track to accommodate thoroughbred horse racing, Daily Racing Forum reported.
According to DRF, Los Alamitos hopes to lengthen its track into a one-mile racecourse by expanding onto property once occupied by a golf course.
The plan goes up for review at Cypress' Dec. 9 City Council meeting. So far, city officials have not taken a stance on the proposal, DRF reported.
