Kevin Hunter, Neighbor

Kevin Hunter is a freelance writer and public relations consultant in the video game and consumer electronics industries who lives in Long Beach. Hunter spent 10 years living free and single in Belmont Shore before getting married, having a child and settling for the suburbanite life near Sterns Park, where his six year old son attends private school until they run out of money and have to (gasp!) send him to  public school.

In a career that spans more than 25 years, Hunter has written sports, news and features as a staff and freelance writer for numerous publications, including the Orange County Register, the Los Angeles Times Orange County Edition, L.A. Weekly, the Long Beach Press-Telegram, the Copley Los Angeles Newspapers, OC Life and Long Beach magazines.

In 2000 Hunter jumped to "The Dark Side" to work in public relations full time. However, his inner journalist refused to leave. He continues to write freelance for newspapers and online sites. Hunter recently joined the rest of the 21^st century by working as a contributing writer for various sports and video game industry blogs.

Hunter's hobbies include running, cycling, reading, listening to music, playing video games, as well as pending quality time with his wife and son. He is often seen spending way too much time at a local coffeehouse.
