Dereck Andrade is a Los Angeles-based freelance writer and media relations consultant. He worked 10 years on the annual Academy Awards where he handled credential approval and crisis management issues. He has worked on the Emmy Awards, Golden Globes, and the American Music Awards, and for ABC, CBS, and NBC Sports. As a PR consultant, he has appeared as a spokesman for his clients on NBC's Today Show, CNN, ABC Sports, NPR, along with print media including Sports Illustrated, the Los Angeles Times, and the Associated Press.
