News-Enterprise is a longstanding, free community newspaper delivered on Wednesdays to roughly 22,500 homes in the areasMore of Los Alamitos, Cypress, Rossmoor, La Palma, El Dorado Park and parts of Long Beach and Seal Beach. It is part of the OC Neighborhood Newspapers chain, which includes the Sun Newspapers of  Seal Beach. Founded 87 years ago, the News-Enterprise has been a part of the community since before Los Alamitos was incorporated as a city. However, the paper has had multiple owners over the years. With its local focus, the paper includes news such as politics, crime, schools and community events and features. Roughly 30,000 editions are printed every week.
Los Alamitos High School

 In 2007, the school was ranked among the nation's top 2 percent of high schools by U.S. News  &WorldMore Report. Over the years Los Alamitos High School has been repeatedly named a California Distinguished School and National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence. Athletically, over the last decade Los Alamitos High School teams have won CIF division championships or beyond in football, boys' tennis, girls' volleyball, boys' and girls' soccer, surf team, girls' lacrosse and boys' basketball and golf. The school is also well known for its Vocal Music Program with five choirs, including national championship winners. More than 3,000 students from ninth to twelfth grade attend Los Alamitos High School, which serves students from Los Alamitos, Rossmoor and Seal Beach.

Numerous televisions hang over the bars and tables of this sizable, sports-driven restaurant. Even at 9am, every TVMore screen has some sort of sporting event or news coverage rolling. On different nights, you can participate in karaoke  and NTN trivia contests - or just watch. Most folks munch on the appetizers and order beer by the pitcher while cheering on their favorite teams.

School News Roll Call

Established in 2000, The School News Roll Call is a free newspaper delivered to homes within the boundaries of theMore Los Alamitos Unified School District. Covering local schools and education issues, the paper offers regular features such as a messages from the school district's superintendent, county board of education officiails, local librarians and several of the school's principals. It is a truly local paper that is run by Founder and Publisher Kay Coop.</p> <p>The School News puts out zoned editions unique to each school district it covers, and it covers several throughout Southern California. The publication schedule is staggered depending on the school district being covered. For the Los Alamitos Unified School District, a new edition basically comes out every other month with a gap during the summer break. The School News can be found off Main Street in Seal Beach. The newsroom sits in an idealic setting in the small building at the back of Brita's Old Town Gardens.</p>
