Here's a post we did on setting up Find My iPhone. I recommend having this turned on even if youRead More don't take your iPad outside the house. Marilyn Halpin April 23, 2014 at 10:35 am
Hey M, sorry for the late response. Since Apple's iPad is a closed system and you can only load appsRead More from their store, pretty much all of them have been vetted to be not harmful. The biggest issue we see on the iPads are people forgetting to restart them every once in awhile :-) We have free group classes at mac-fusion if you ever wanted to learn more about your iPad! http://mac-fusion.com/classes

Angie....you cannot legislate "good behavior".
Amused April 20, 2014 at 02:53 pm
Angie, Newport IS my back yard and after seeing 6 or 7 cyclist killed by drivers IN Newport I tendRead More to agree with Oldtimer. And he is correct - the average sentance for KILLING someone with a car who is on a bike is 3 years. I never advocated he not be punished but, leave your misplaced anger at the OC District Attys office - not me. Let's face it - once he has been released he will either be on his best behavior or back between bars.
Amused April 20, 2014 at 03:16 pm
Girl up Angie - you said "put him in your backyard" and that was a shot at me. You shouldRead More be shouting with me, not at me since we obviously feel the same way about the Judge and attys. Let's face it, money that would be well spent to prevent these tragedies never becomes available. Then look at you and your friends behavior about driving and drinking, texting, talking on the phone, eating, doing makeup, shaving, yelling at the kids and dogs and whatever else is DISTRACTING you at the time of the "accident".

Beast already knows, because he lives in Bellflower. He has bragged about how cheap his home wasRead More & has mocked those of us who chose to pay top dollar to live in a nice area. He also lies about being a local, brags about getting drunk & harassing servers & patrons at local restaurants, complains about just about everything, while calling Seal Beach "our town" & "our beach" ad nauseam. Read his other posts, and you we see why I & others respond to him the way we do

This will be a slam-dunk for the DA's office (IMO). Why? I was told by an attorney that these kindRead More of cases due to their nature puts the burden of proof (not by law but by application) on the defense not the prosecution. In these type of cases you are guilty until proving yourself innocent. Ever try to prove a negative? Can't be done. Whether the guy is innocent or not he will be found guilty. That's not how it's suppose to work, but with anything sex relayed all normal standards go flying out the window (IMO). In this case it was argued that there is no evidence. In most other type cases the DA's office would not take the case because of the burden of proof issue, but because it's sexual in nature they're pretty sure of a win (IMO). If the guy did it he should be slammed, but no one knows the real truth because there is no evidence. It truly is a he said she said thing! The reasonable doubt should go to the defendant, but it won't. TRUTH

Where on earth does one find these people? California has been known since the 'sixties as the landRead More of fruits and nuts, but for a woman to go to a motel room with a strange man, take her clothes off and allow herself to be anointed with ammonia and eggs makes one wonder how anyone who has been alive for the past forty years can possibly be ignorant of the cult-like practices of California's spiritual "healers."

our legal system SUCKS for lack of a better word.... Our problem starts in the juvenile system.Read More Slaps on the hand for serious multiple felonies. It should be mandatory for the scum ball criminals to face their accusers instead of cowering to a plea that is now where near as serious as the offenses that did in fact take place. *** Please note I am bitter and scorned as I have recently had to view the juvenile system up close and personal , my children were innocent victims of a 14 year old monster. 30 some felony charges led to a 2 yr sentence. Jaques,( jock ) trucks have been clean for some time now. My 1996 does not smoke, maybe a puff aRead More start up- and it has a million miles on the original engine. My problem with the damn CARB NAZIS is that they reneged on the agreement they had with the EPA and now say "well, so sorry Danny. Yeah, umm, we did say your truck was clean enough back in 1996, but now because we have enough whack-job treehuggers backing us, we can do whatever the hell we want". FINE but Commufornia, get ready to pay A LOT MORE for EVERYTHING you buy. I'm already enjoying the higher rates I can charge to brings cars into this backwards state. OldTimer said: "I've always had a soft spot for the side that got trounced." I know,Read More those poor Nazi's got "trounced." Had they not, they would now rule the world and those still allowed to "live" would be marching the German goose step. _______________________________________________ As far as kids not playing in neighborhoods nowadays, you can (partially) thank the good old homeowners associations for that!
OldTimer April 10, 2014 at 01:38 pm
Hi bbq. I figured that somebody would pounce on that. I was speaking from a philosophical senseRead More rather than a political sense. But I didn't expect everybody to catch on. So now instead of the germans ruling the world, we do. We have our foot in practically every nation on earth. I bet that suits you much better and makes you happy. Because, of course, we are the good guys and have earned the right to tell everybody else how to live. And that's fine. I like it when people are happy. Oh, and I won't blame the homeowners associations. I blame general alienation which is a normal progressive consequence that generally goes hand in hand with prosperity. Oh, and the reason I don't see any kids cutting grass anymore for spending money is because the illegals have captured that market and taken it away from the youngsters in southern California.

Just more proof of where we are as a society. Our local and federal government would rather use manRead More power and money for encounter technique training rather then doing anything preventative, like pass more effective gun laws or address the underlying causes of heightened violence in America. All this training exercise says is we understand that this is part of our life now, its an acceptable level of violence and we better train our people to be equally violent in response. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------"When it gets down to having to use violence, then you are playing the system’s game. The establishment will irritate you – pull your beard, flick your face – to make you fight. Because once they’ve got you violent, then they know how to handle you. The only thing they don’t know how to handle is non-violence and humor." ~John Lennon

Very strange. I've heard of common Joes being charged for same or even less. The DA said that theRead More case could not be proven beyond a reasonable doubt.
