Rubio's Fresh Mexican Grill
This branch of Rubio's Fresh Mexican Grill opened in Seal Beach in 2004. It specializes in Baja-style fish tacos, which are specially priced on Tuesdays after 2:30pm for $1.25 each. Other taco selections include carnitas, carne asada, chicken; quesadillas, nachos and taquitos are other popular options. It also offers beer-battered Alaskan Pollack, with cabbage and salsa in a soft corn tortilla. In addition, there is a kids' menu, which includes chicken nuggets, quesadillas, beans or rice, a small drink and a toy. The Mexican chain was established in 1983, when owner Ralph Rubio opened his first branch in San Diego.
