Weekend Beach, Surf and Weather Report for Seal Beach

Here is a look at the beach grades for Seal Beach, surf conditions and weather report to start off your weekend:

Seal Beach Weather Report

The National Weather Service predicts the chance of a rainy and cooler weekend with a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms on Saturday. Saturday will otherwise be mostly cloudy with a night of 63 degrees. Overnight lows will dip down to 50 degrees.

Sunday will see mostly sunny skies with highs reaching into the mid 60s. Overnight lows will drop to the lower 50s with clear skies and light winds.

Seal Beach Surf Report:

The National Weather service predicts surfers will see surf heights in the 1-3 foot range on Saturday with a short period west-northwest swell. The swell is expected to diminish through Sunday. Expect water temperatures to range between 60 and 65 degrees. The potential for rip currents is low but the NWS still urges swimmers to use caution when swimming.

The interactive map above is a water quality report for beaches in dry weather from the past 30 days compiled from data courtesy of Heal the Bay, a nonprofit environmental group. Beach grades are based on an A+ to F scale. Grades indicate the likelihood of swimmers becoming ill. Water samples are analyzed for bacteria – enterococcus, total and fecal coliforms. The report does not measure the amount of trash or toxins found at local beaches.

  • Orange Marker = C 
  • Pink Marker = D 
  • Red Marker = F 
  • Purple Marker = No sample taken
