Seal Beach Weekend Surf, Beach Grade and Weather Report

A look at beach grades, surf conditions and weather for Seal Beach the weekend of Nov. 16-17.

Here is a look at the beach grades for Seal Beach, surf conditions and weather report to start off your weekend:

Seal Beach Weather Report

The National Weather Service predicts that cooler temperatures are on their way for the weekend with highs on Saturday topping out at 65 degrees. Clouds will increase throughout the day with wind gusts of up to 20 miles per hour. Overnight lows will dip into the mid 50s. 

Sunday will see mostly cloudy skies for most of the day with gradual sunshine coming out in the late afternoon. Highs will reach into the mid 60s with overnight lows in the lower 50s.

Seal Beach Surf Report:

The National Weather service predicts surfers will see surf heights in the 1-3 foot range on Saturday with a mixed northwest and south swell. On Sunday, little change is expected with surf heights remaining in the 1-3 foot range. Expect water temperatures to range between 64 and 65 degrees. The potential for rip currents is low but the NWS still urges swimmers to use caution when swimming. 

Seal Beach |Beach Grades Report Card

The interactive map above is a water quality report for beaches in dry weather from the past 30 days compiled from data courtesy of Heal the Bay, a nonprofit environmental group. Beach grades are based on an A+ to F scale. Grades indicate the likelihood of swimmers becoming ill. Water samples are analyzed for bacteria – enterococcus, total and fecal coliforms. The report does not measure the amount of trash or toxins found at local beaches. 

  • Dark Green Marker = A+ 
  • Light Green Marker = A 
  • Yellow Marker = B 
  • Orange Marker = C 
  • Pink Marker = D 
  • Red Marker = F 
  • Purple Marker = No sample taken
