Friends of the Library Fundraiser, Pill Disposal, Toll Lanes Forum

1. The Los Alamitos City Council will meet today at 5 p.m. Read the full agenda here.

2. The Friends of the Los Alamitos-Rossmoor Library will host a “Dine In For Dollars” fundraiser at Callender’s Grill in the Shops at Rossmoor on Wednesday night, October 23. Present a Dine In For Dollars flyer to your server and 20 percent of  your tab will be donated to the Friends. Flyers with more information can be picked up at the library or downloaded at sites.google.com/site/friendsoflarlibrary.

3. On Friday, Oct. 25 the city of Los Alamitos is hosting Trunk or Treat from 5:30-8:30 p.m. at Cottonwood Park, 4000 Farquhar Ave. The event will include free candy, a costume contest, treasure hunts, games and more. All ages are welcome and costumes are encouraged!

4. Community members can safely dispose of unwanted and expired prescription drugs on Saturday, Oct. 26 beginning at 10 a.m. at a drive-thru collection station at the Seal Beach Police Department. Get more information in our story here.

5. Save the date! On Tuesday, Oct. 29 at 6:30 p.m. the city of Westminster is hosting a 405 Freeway Toll Lanes Town Hall Forum at the community services building, 8200 Westminster Blvd.
