Victims of the economic downturn, this brother and sister are ready for a turnaround.

Sheba is a queen in need of a throne.

Editor’s Note:  The Cat of the Week feature is written and submitted by Gail Bowers, a volunteer at the Seal Beach Animal Care Center where the animals are available for adoption. The shelter is at 1700 Adolfo Lopez Drive, Seal Beach, (562) 430-4993.

These two cats are sister and brother.  Sheba is a pretty brown tabby and Fabian is black with a white undercoat.   They are both declawed on the front.  They came to the care center about a year and a half ago with a note saying their family could no longer take care of them due to their difficult economic situation.

They are now about 8 years old and are both sweet, mellow cats, who are very bonded to each other.  Sheba is healthy, but Fabian has had some gastrointestinal irritability that is being treated with daily medication.  He is an easy cat to medicate.

These cats are long overdue for their own home once again.  Since they are so bonded to each other, they really need to go home together. They would be a perfect pair for an older person looking for companionship from cats who are quiet but friendly.
