This Bit of Silver Is More Precious Than Gold

Abandoned to the streets after his owner went into a nursing home, Silverado 's affection is worth its weight in gold.

Editor’s Note:  The Cat of the Week feature is written and submitted by Gail Bowers, a volunteer at the Seal Beach Animal Care Center where the animals are available for adoption. The shelter is at 1700 Adolfo Lopez Drive, Seal Beach, (562) 430-4993.

This big handsome boy was abandoned and left to wander his Seal Beach neighborhood with several of his feline siblings when his owner was put in a nursing home over a year ago.  He was finally rescued and brought to the care center by a concerned house sitter, who learned his story from neighbors.

She found him to be very friendly and loving and craving human attention.  He is about 2 to 3 years old and would love to have a home again.  He is likely to do well with feline companions.
