Silent Victims of the Housing Crisis

When their owner lost lost the house, so did Rosey and Rocky

Editor’s Note:  The Cat of the Week feature is written and submitted by Gail Bowers, a volunteer at the Seal Beach Animal Care Center where the animals are available for adoption. The shelter is at 1700 Adolfo Lopez Drive, Seal Beach, (562) 430-4993.

Rosey is a beautiful Siamese and tabby mix and Rocky is a big handsome tabby and white cat. They are siblings who were adopted as kittens 5 years ago. They were recently returned to us because the adopter lost her home and had to move to an apartment that would not allow cats.

It’s a very sad situation for both the adopter and the cats. They are having a little trouble adjusting to life at the care center and being surrounded by so many other cats and barking dogs.  Both are affectionate and friendly cats who love attention and would love to have a home together once again.
