Rossmoor Holiday Homes Dazzle

The annual Rossmoor Woman's Club Holiday Home Tour Sunday will feature a variety of newly constructed and remodeled homes along with charming holiday décor.

Sunday marks the Rossmoor Woman’s Club Holiday Home Tour, an annual event that opens up some of the most cheerful holiday homes to the community.

This year’s tour will feature four newly remodeled or built homes along with a  reception and a glimpse at the community room in the newly built Fire Station 48. It is a 24-year-old tradition that helps raise money for scholarships, events and local nonprofits such as the Casa Youth Shelter, Precious Life and Los Alamitos High School Grad Night, said Sandy Tessier, Rossmoor Woman's Club president.

Designed to bring together the community and promote holiday décor, the event also aims to inspire Rossmoor homeowners by showing off some of the latest and best remodels and designs, said Tessier. Throughout the year, the club searches for inspiring homes to highlight.

One of the smaller homes is just a great example of the difference a minor remodel can make, said Tessier.

This year, the tour includes an unusual stop for a holiday home tour: Fire Station 48.

“It’s brand new and has a great community room open to the public,” added Tessier. “I don’t think people know how well equipped it is with an overhead projector and wi-fi.”

The final stop on the tour is the , where the club will offer refreshments, prizes and a silent auction. The tour is from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, and tickets for the tour can be purchased for $20 at the hotel or online at rossmoorwomansclub.org.
