Los Alamitos Olympians Go for the Gold
USA Olympic Women's Water Polo team will play their longtime rivals for a shot at the gold medal match today.
The Los Alamitos-based USA Women’s Water Polo Team will play longtime rivals the Australia team in the semifinals today for a shot at the Olympic Gold Medal game. The team will play at 7:30 a.m., but the game will air on NBC at 10:30 a.m.
According to USA Water Polo, the two teams have met in either a semifinal or medal round match in every Olympic Games since 2000.
The victors will move on to the gold medal match, and the losing team will play for the bronze medal.
