County Bacteria Warning: Avoid Water Near San Gabriel River Mouth

Swimmers should stay clear of several other local beaches too, says the Orange County Health Care Agency.

You might want to avoid taking a dip in the waters off the northernmost part of Seal Beach, as well as several others beaches in Orange County, warns the Orange County Health Care Agency.

County staff recently issued bacteria warnings for a number local beaches including spots in Seal Beach, San Clemente and Dana Point.

Bacteria numbers are higher in ocean water and bay waters near storm drains, creeks and rivers, according to the health agency.

Swimmers should avoid coastal waters affected by discharging storm drains, creeks and rivers, and beach users should avoid contact with any runoff on the beach during dry or wet weather conditions.
