Waking up with the waves on Wednesday, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Los Alamitos-Seal Beach Patch surf report. Well, the energy is continuing to ease out there, but you can still find a few fun ones, with the right equipment. You'll probably want to break out the small wave gear for this stretch of sand.
The conditions are mostly clean and glassy early on, with a combination of fading action. We're seeing mostly dropping west northwest swell and some smaller south southwest energy in the water.
That's delivering some fast sectiony lines, with some fun corners to be had. Most Seal Beach spots are running about knee to waist high, with the top combo breaks pulling a few belly high sets.

At 7:00 this morning the tide drained out to a negative 0.5 low which will have many spots desperate for water early to mid-morning. The tide then pushes back up to a 3.5 high at 1:18 this afternoon.
If you're going to grab a session, you'll want to wear at least a 3/2 fullsuit and maybe the booties, with the water temperature averaging between 56 and 57 degrees. See ya in the water!

FYI: County Health Officials urge surfers and swimmers to stay out of the ocean for at least 72 hours after a rain due to the possibility of increased bacteria levels especially near river mouths, storm drains and harbor entrances.
