Wednesday Surf Report

It's a hair bigger out there.

Waking up with the waves on Wednesday, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Los Alamitos-Seal Beach Patch surf report.  Well, there's just a little more swell out there this morning, but overall it's still pretty small.  So, if you want some more size...head down south towards Huntington Beach where you'll find plenty of playful plus size waves. We're seeing mostly clean conditions early on, with a mix of swells out there.  We've got some west northwest energy and a tad of south southwesterly energy in the water. That recipe is giving this stretch of sand some pretty weak  lines, with a few fun ones, with the small wave gear.  Most spots in Seal Beach are running about ankle to knee high, with the standout breaks pulling a few waist high sets. At 7:45 this morning the tide pushes up to a 4.7 high which isn't helping things due to the lack of swell.  So, if you can wait for that tide to drop a bit, but before it eventually drains out to a 0.1 low at 2:12 this afternoon. If you're going to get out there, you'll want to wear at least a 3/2 full-suit and possibly the booties, with the water temperature hanging between 56 and 58 degrees.  See ya in the water!
