Tuesday Surf Report

Some leftover lump and bump.

Good Tuesday morning, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Los Alamitos-Seal Beach Patch surf report.  Well all that crazy wind we had yesterday left us with a little more surf, but also some leftover lump and bump on the water.

It's semi-clean at most spots early on, with a continued mixture of mostly northwest wind and groundswell out there.  That recipe is offering us some kinda crumbly and bumpy sectiony lines, with a few decent shoulders to pick off.

Most Seal Beach spots are running about knee to thigh high, with the focal points pulling waist high waves, with not much more than that.

At 5:54 this morning the tide dropped to a 0.7 low which will have some spots lacking water early on.  The tide then pushes back up to a 3.6 high at 10:52 later this morning and then drops once again to a 1.3 low at 4:26 this afternoon.

If you're planning on paddling, throw on that 4/3 full-suit and maybe the booties, with the water taking a dip and most spots averaging between 55 and 56 degrees.  See ya in the water!

FYI: Health authorities urge surfers and swimmers to stay out of the ocean after a rain due to increased bacteria levels for at least 72 hours, especially near river mouths, storm drains and harbor entrances.
