Good Thursday morning surfers, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Los Alamitos-Seal Beach Patch surf report. Well, we're waking up to more marine layer which means the southerly winds are back in action. So, unfortunately those conditions are looking a little crummy. We're already seeing some texture or bump on the water from the start. Taking a look at the waves...we've got some fading south southwest swell and very little northwest energy in the water. That recipe is offering some crumbly and bumpy lines, with a few workable corners. You'll most likely want to break out the small wave equipment! Most Seal Beach spots are running about ankle to waist high, with the focal points that pick up the southerly energy seeing an occasional plus set. Checking the tides...at 6:45 this morning it drained out to a negative 0.9 low which will have many spots lacking water and shape early on. The tide then pushes back up to a 3.5 high at 1:22 this afternoon. If you're planning on paddling, you can throw on that 3/2 full-suit, with the water temperature averaging between 59 and 61 degrees. Good luck out there!
