Thursday Surf Report

Still looking for a jumpstart.

Good Thursday morning surfers, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Los Alamitos-Seal Beach Patch surf report.  Well, she's still in need of a jumpstart out there.  Yep, this stretch of coastline just can't seem to get much going lately.  So, basically we're looking at the similar super small stuff.

The conditons are nice and glassy early on, with a mix of energy in the water.  We're seeing a little more south southwest swell and less of the west northwest energy today.  That recipe is making for some pretty weak and mushy lines, with a few decent ones at the right tide.

Most Seal Beach spots are running about ankle to knee high, with those top combo breaks pulling a few waist high sets.  However, further down south you'll find some more surf in the waist to chest high plus range!

At 8:23 this morning it climbs up to a 4.7 high which will be a bit of a problem for that mid-morning session.  Many spots will be super swamped and breaking close to the beach.  Things should improve once that tide turns around and eventually drops to a 0.3 low at 2:38 this afternoon.

If nothing else...go get wet, enjoy the nice weather and throw on at least a 3/2 fullsuit and maybe the booties, with the water temperature averaging between 57 and 58 degrees.  See ya in the water!
