Thursday Surf Report

Still pretty sleepy.

Good Thursday morning surfers, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Los Alamitos-Seal Beach Patch surf report.  Well, unfortunately this latest swell seems to be more hype than anything.  Yep, this stretch of the coast isn't seeing much in the way of waves!

The conditions are fairly clean out there, although some spots are seeing some texture on it early on.  We've got a mix of some supposedly increasing west northwest swell and maybe a hint of southwesterly energy.

That recipe is making for some really weak dumpy lines, with a few fun ones if you're on a big board!  Most Seal Beach spots are still stuck in the ankle high range, with the occasional plus set.

At 9:06 this morning the tide drops to a 1.5 low which will have many breaks needing water mid-morning.  The tide then climbs back up just a tad to a 2.3 low at 3:15 this afternoon.

If you're going to get wet, throw on at least a 3/2 fullsuit and maybe the booties, with the water temperature averaging between 56 and 57 degrees.  See ya in the water!
