Sunset League's Wrestling Programs Qualify 18 for Upcoming Masters Meet

Sunset League wrestlers won five of 12 weight classes and finished second in four others at the CIF Southern Section's Inland Division Individual Championships on Feb. 19 at Roosevelt High in Corona.

Edison led the league with six wresters qualifying for the secton's Masters Meet on Feb. 25-26 at Temecuala Valley High. Five Los Alamitos wrestlers qualifed by finishing among the top five. The top nine finishers at Masters advance to the state meet March 4-5 at Rabobank Arena in Bakersfield.

In all, 18 wrestlers from the league took the next step toward a state championship appearance. Complete results of the individual championships can be found here.
