Monday Wave Check

Barely breaking along this stretch of sand!

Waking up with the waves on Monday, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Los Alamitos-Seal Beach Patch surf report.  Well, you're not going to find much energy along this stretch of sand.  Yep, it's looking pretty small and weak out there.  So, if you have the time...do a little driving down south towards the Huntington Beach area where you'll find some playful size waves.

The conditions are starting off fairly clean out there.  As far as the surf goes...we've got a very minor mix of southwest swell and some tiny northwest windswell in the water.

That recipe is providing this neck of the woods with some little dumpy lines that are breaking close to shore.  You might be able to pick off a few workable ones on a longboard.  Most Seal Beach spots are running about ankle to knee high, with the focal points pulling not much more than that.

Checking the tides...at 8:50 this morning it climbs up to a 3.7 high and then drops to a 1.8 low at 1:32 this afternoon and then pushes up once again to a 6.7 high at 7:58 this evening.

If you're going to get wet, you'll need no more than a 3/2 fullsuit for at least that a.m session, with the water temperature averaging between 60 and 62 degrees.  Good luck out there!
