With the first 2012 game coming soon, the Los Alamitos High School football team will get a chance to prove themselves Friday.

Head Coach John Barnes said he's been waiting for this game for a long time.

"I’m glad it’s finally here," Barnes said. "You know, you work so hard year-round to get to this game."

The game begins Aug. 31 at 7 p.m at Paramount High School.

Before each of the upcoming games, Patch plans to post a profile of one of the top ten players on the Griffins, starting with quarterback Cody Marshall, 17.
