Friday Surf Report

Another day of dribblers.

Waking up with the waves on Friday, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Los Alamitos-Seal Beach Patch surf report.  Well, it's looking like another day of dribblers for this part of the Pacific Ocean.  Yep, there's mainly very small energy, so you'll mostly likely want to get out town and head south where you can pick off some playful size surf.

The conditions are pretty clean and glassy from the start, with a mix of mainly similar size northwest windswell and hardly any south southwest energy to see out there.

That recipe is offering this stretch of sand with some weak lines, with a few loggable waves or if you're a mini-grom.  Most Seal Beach spots are hanging in the ankle to knee high range, with those top spots seeing maybe a couple bigger sets.

Taking a look at those tides...at 7:49 this morning it pushes way up to a 5.0 high which is going to have some spots pretty swamped and slow mid-morning.  If you can wait for that tide to drop a bit, but get it before it eventually drains out to a 0.0 low at 1:56 this afternoon.

If you're going to get wet, you'll want to wear at least a 3/2 full-suit and possibly the booties, with the water temperature averaging between 56 and 57 degrees.  See ya in the water!
