Friday Surf Report

Going to have to do a little driving

Waking up with the waves on Friday, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Los Alamitos Patch surf report.  Well, it looks like you're going to have to do a little driving to find a wave worthwhile.

Yep, we're looking at more decreasing energy, which means it's really small out there.  The good news...the conditions are fairly clean, but are likely to worsen throughout the day.

There's a mix of some very small southwest swell and minimal northwesterly energy in the water.  That's making for some pretty soft little lines, with not much to work with.

Most spots in Seal Beach are running no bigger than ankle high with maybe a plus set if you're lucky.  Your best bet would be to head south a bit to the Huntington Beach area where you'll definitely find some rideable waves in the knee to chest high range.

At 5:52 a.m the tide climbed up to a 5.6 high and then drops to a 0.1 low at 1:16 p.m.  If you're going to grab a session, break out the 4/3 fullsuit and maybe the booties, with the water temp averaging between 56 and 58 degrees.  See ya in the water!
