Come out with your friends or family for an evening of fun under the moon, stars and planets!
Early in the evening we will focus on a lovely 8-day moon. Craters and mountains along the terminator are always a treat through our powerful telescopes.Later in the evening we will explore the best star clusters and nebulae the summer constellations have to offer. If you have never seen the moon or a shimmering star cluster through a big telescope, this is your chance to be amazed.
These events are co-hosted by local Astronomy buff, Michael Beckage. If you have a telescope, feel free to bring it to the star party. You don’t have to be an expert, and it’s fun to share anything you know with someone else. The star parties are great for kids of all ages and best of all provide serious entertainment at an unbeatable price. (Free, that is!)
