Coyote Creek Trail, through Los Alamitos, is a southern California treasure , complete with concrete banks,  bridges to dip under and lots of chain link fencing. The route is pedestrian friendly and a great trail to run, bike, walk  your dog or bird watch. The creek is 3 feet wide on a sunny winter morning , but during the rainy weather it is a dangerous torrent of rushing water .
