Health & Fitness

New Gym, New Fitness

Beach Fitness, Inc. is pleased to announce an expansion into Los Alamitos, CA at 10682 Los Alamitos Blvd.  The new nearly 2500 square foot facility, Beach Fitness Strength & Conditioning (BFSC) will have both group fitness classes, including CrossFit and semi-private personal training.

Bryce Turner, owner said, “we have been looking for a space which was well suited to our clients and also would allow us to bring optimal health and wellness to a sister community.”  Bryce and his business partner, Barbara Lands have brought in Barb’s husband JR as a new partner.  JR said, “I discovered CrossFit and it changed my life. Now, I have the opportunity to bring it to my own back yard.”  JR and Barb are homeowners in Rossmoor.

BFSC will operate similarly to Beach Fitness in terms of interaction with the local community.  Barb said, “we have had a commitment to our community by participating in the Christmas Parade, Run Seal Beach and Race on the Base events.  We hope to grow the partnership with the city of Los Alamitos as well.”  Bryce continued, “we have a really successful beach boot camp which is run through the Seal Beach recreation department.  Hopefully, we will be able to have a similar relationship with Los Al.”

The operations team has indicated that November 18th would be the soft opening of the facility.  JR said, “we aren’t changing the space, but rather, adding flooring, improving the ceiling and repainting.  It should really look sick when we are done.”  JR, a vice president of merchandising for Kids Artistic Revue (KAR) also will manage soft goods, apparel and some products sold at BFSC.  “Our conditional use permit encourages some retail sales, and we will bring in some fitness fashion and branding to the facility.”

Beach Fitness, Inc. has been in business since 2006 and expanded into the adjacent space in 2009.  Beach Fitness is proud to have a CrossFit affiliation and a highly credentialed team of trainers.  “Everyone on our staff either has a degree and a credential or is in process with both.  Regionally, we have one of the most educated teams and we look to develop that.  I am currently getting two nutrition certifications and Bryce is working on the Guy Voyer ELDOA certification through the Southerland Academy of Osteopath in Quebec, Montreal” said Barb.
