Sometimes you never know when you will have an opportunity to make a difference. I know that as a business consultant, analyst and communication geek, you have to be ready to seize any chance you can to reach an audience. Black Marble Consulting, my firm, does that for businesses, and some non-profits. Now, I can do it simply for Seal Beach.
When Paige asked me to be one of the bloggers for Patch, I was pretty darn excited. Here is a hyper local community resource which publishes news, opinions and thoughts. When I moved with my partner Anthony to Seal Beach in late 2006, I had no idea of the level of community engagement. There are passionate people in this town.
That's part of the reason I love Seal Beach. People care.

I am proud to be one of those people. I admit to being opinionated, and I am willing to listen to have my mind changed. That is part of what Patch seems to be all about - not only reporting, but commenting, discussing and persuading in our community.
There is so much to be fascinated about in Seal Beach: government, our business community, health & fitness, our beaches, our events and simply our people. It is a priviledge to have a platform to share thoughts on a wider scale. Thanks Paige, Arianna & Patch.com for providing greater reach. It should be a fun ride.
