Nominate Your Favorite Teacher
It's Teacher Appreciation Week and Patch wants to know which teachers at our local schools stand out to you.
Last year, while on the Rossmoor Woman’s Club Garden Tour with my best friend since kindergarten, I ran into my kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Root. Still in awe of her more than 20 years later, my friend and I confessed to Mrs. Root that she had always been our favorite teacher.
Mrs. Root waived her hand modestly and laughed. “Everyone loves their kindergarten teacher,” she said.
That may be true, but I still feel pretty lucky that she was my first teacher.

Everyone remembers their favorite teacher, someone who made learning fun and impacted students every day of the school year.
This Teacher Appreciation Week, we're looking for nominations from local residents to put the spotlight on teachers who really make a difference in our schools—though they all do!
