New Deputy Superintendent Gets Projects Done on Time, Under Budget

Patricia Meyer will continue to lead business services and district modernization projects

This school year, Los Alamitos Unified School District Board of Education announced that Patricia Meyer has been named the district’s deputy superintendent following her tenure as the district’s assistant superintendent of business services.

Meyer has been with the district since 2004, playing a role in keeping it financially strong during difficult economic times. She has played lead in both interest-based bargaining and the Measure K facilities improvement program. All modernization projects at multiple school sites have been on time and on budget under Meyer.

As Deputy Superintendent, Meyer will continue to lead business services as well as the expanding modernization projects throughout the district.

In this capacity, she directed business services for the largest regional educational agency in the United States, with a department annual budget of over $210 million, providing support to 22,000 students and over 100 external educational agency clients.

“I am extremely fortunate to continue to work for such an exceptional district, where excellence truly never rests,” said Meyer.
