19 Los Alamitos High School Students Sign Letters of Intent

A number of students, including golf star Esther Lee, announce what college they plan to study at and, of course, play at after they graduate high school.

Nineteen Los Alamitos High School student atheletes -- including golf star Esther Lee --announced where they plan to work and play after they graduate.

Wednesday marked the first day of the National Letter of Intent signing period for high school athletes who want to make their college commitment binding.

Athletes from Orange County and across the nation will be signing forms and faxing them to their college of choice.

Los Alamitos High School had 19 athletes who revealed that decision Wednesday, including 17-year-old Esther Lee, who won all three of her games at the U.S. Ryder's Cup in September.

Lee will be attending Duke University in the fall.

"This level of excellence is made possible because of the dedication of highly skilled teachers and coaches and the ongoing support of parents, families, and community members," said Sherri Kropp, Los Alamitos Unified School District Superintendent in a written statement today.
