Each of The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf 24 locations selected a nearby OC school that will benefit from the sales of these blends. The principal of each school, ranging from elementary through middle to high school, identified the greatest need of that particular school, and the monies raised from the OC Blend will be utilized to help fill that gap. Those needs range from computer labs and art supplies through supporting Associated Student Body ASB and leadership development, to music and science programs. More than 3,000 bags of the OC Blend have already been sold.

“With the summer rapidly approaching and the long school year wrapping up, it is a great time to thank teachers, the heroes of our local schools, and celebrate the difference they make every day,” said Mel Elias, Chief Executive Officer and President of The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf.

“Teachers are some of the hardest working individuals in our community. Honoring them with the OC Blend is a perfect way to say ‘thank you.’ We created the OC Blend as a homegrown, heartfelt and direct way that we, as a company, can give back to the Orange County neighborhoods that our stores serve through a variety of local activities throughout the year.”

To receive a complimentary coffee or tea, teachers need to show their ID or professional teaching affiliation at any one of the participating locations.
