Former McGaugh Elementary Assistant Principal to take the helm at Hopkinson Elementary School.

When Francis Hopkinson Elementary School students head back to school in September, there will be a new principal waiting for them.

The Los Alamitos Unified School District has hired former McGaugh Elementary School Assistant Principal Ondrea Reed to take the helm at Hopkinson. Reed has worked in education for more than 11 years and has been with the Los Alamitos Unified School District for the past five years.

“The students, teachers and parents in Los Alamitos Unified are what make it possible to ignite unlimited possibilities within our schools, and I look forward to working collaboratively with the Hopkinson community to meet and exceed the needs of all students,” Reed said in a written statement.
