Kumon Math & Reading Center of Los Alamitos Literacy Open House Event: Saturday March 3, 2012 10am – 2pm
Kumon is partnering with Reading Is Fundamental (RIF), the nation's largest nonprofit organization dedicated to providing new books to underserved children. For every new student enrollment during the month of March, Kumon will donate $10, equivalent to four new books, to RIF. More than 800 Kumon Centers in the U.S. are participating on Saturday, March 3, with literacy open-house events.
We will be celebrating the importance of child literacy with a family-friendly open house. The event will include games, face painting, refreshments, prizes and read-aloud sessions from Kumon's Recommended Reading List.
We are also collecting gently used children’s books to donate to RIF.
Bring your family and invite your friends and relatives with school-aged children to our fun event on Saturday, March 3! Spread the word! Everyone in the community is invited! I am running two special promotions for new enrollees in the month of March to help promote this cause.
