I had a situation where I sold a couple of homes on the same block in Lakewood last year. My buyer was a smart guy who knew buying while everyone was selling might be a good idea. A new home came on the market on that same block a few weeks ago for 50% more than he paid. It was in escrow very quickly. Needless to say, it looks he made a very wise decision. Remember when we were all reading about what a bad investment real estate can be? Sounds like you might want to reconsider that belief. Will Rogers said something to effect of, “Buy land, they ain’t making any more of that stuff.”
