Good things about Los Al Schools
We are getting closer to the start of the new school year. Can you feel the excitement? Just a few more of last school year’s highlights before we watch the great things they will do this coming year.
Lee Elementary – Lee started modernization this past summer but, before that started, Lee did some great things.
- Got a wonderful new principal Mr. Briggerman
- Worked with Teri Malpass of Weaver to implement and advance Math Walls
- Seal Beach Lion’s Teacher of the year – Wendy Wood
- A record setting year for annual fundraiser $70,000
- 100 students participated in the Annual Spelling Bee
Laurel High School – The highest ranked continuation high school in the county

- Poetry nights – Students shared original work to a live audience

- Holocaust Remembrance Contest – Several students participated in the Remembrance Art Contest hosted by Chapman University.
