Last Wednesday night I had the privilege of attending the Oak Middle School Awards night. I was the proud uncle of Holden who received the Principal’s Award for 3 years of a 4.0. Yes I am a proud uncle but I also wanted to share the stats from that night:
219 students were presented awards (out of 405 in the class)
39 - Principal's List - 4.0 for all of middle school!
126 - Honor Roll - 3.6 or above cumulative GPA in middle school (not counting the 4.0's!)
99 - Citizenship awards - 6 or more "O's" (Outstanding) every semester of middle school!!!
37 - 1 year of Perfect Attendance
28 - 2 years of Perfect Attendance
10 - 3 years of Perfect Attendance
57 - Department awards
58 - Community service awards
What a remarkable school and group of students. You know what’s really remarkable is that this is standard practice for all our schools here in Los Al. I’m sure McAuliffe awards this week will be equally as impressive and my wife attended the High School Awards night and was in awe.
Congrats to all the great students that are promoting or graduating from Los Al Schools.
