Great Work Done in the 2012-2013 School Year - Rossmoor Elementry
Find out what happened in our schools during 2011-2012
Since it’s summer and school is not in session, I thought I’d take this time to highlight all the great things that happened in our schools last year. Each week I’ll highlight a different school or two. As a Professional Real Estate Broker whose main area of service is the Los Al School District and as President of LAEF, I feel really strongly about sharing this good news.
I’ll start with Rossmoor since that was our home school.
Rossmoor’s modernization is in the final phase, and the school increased its API score 22 points to 949, was awarded the CA Distinguished School Award, conducted monthly recycling days that earned $1,800, reached a goal of fundraising $90,000 for technology. Furthermore, Principal Kiva Spiratos wrote and received a grant from the Costen Foundation for Professional Development in Reader Workshop.

Rossmoor students had the opportunity to participate in spirit assemblies each Friday morning while staff had a chance to collaborate in Professional Learning Communities and share best practices. We look forward to more great work being done at Rossmoor in the 2012-2013 school year.
