New General Manager Takes Office in Rossmoor

The district's board chooses CPA Christine Montana, who has managed, simultaneously, three special districts. She takes the post Jan. 2.

The Rossmoor Community Services District board has announced its unanimous selection of a new general manager, who will start Jan. 2, 2013.

Christine Montana is a CPA who has managed, simultaneously, three special districts: Surfside Colony Community Services District, Sunset Beach Sanitary District and the Surfside Colony Storm Water Protection District.

HTGroup, the consulting general manager, will manage the district's affairs until Jan. 2 and will assist in the transition. Montana will work on a part-time, 20-hours-per-week basis, with additional hours, as determined by the board, after the transition period.

The board says it had conducted an exhaustive recruitment campaign and that candidates included a former and a current city manager.

Montana has a degree in business administration from USC and has been an active certified public accountant since 1993. She lives in Huntington Beach, is married and has two children.
