Meet Your Assembly, Congressional Candidates in Rossmoor

If you haven't had a chance to meet your local candidates, now's as good as time as any. 

The Rossmoor Homeowner's Association will hold candidate get-together Oct. 11 at 7-9 PM at Rush Park Auditorium, 3021 Blume Drive.

Right now the candidates expected are 

• 47th Congressional District candidates Gary DeLong (confirmed) and Alan Lowenthal.
• 72nd Assembly District candidates Travis Allen and Troy Edgar (both confirmed)
• The Rossmoor/Los Alamitos Sewer District candidates. 

HOA second vice-president Beverly Houghton said this was important event so that people can get to know the candidates.

"We don’t get to see them any other way, other than what you read or if you’ve seen them at your local cities," Houghton said. 

Houghton adds that she knows that the vice-presidential debate is on at the same time.

"We’re hoping people will come out and meet our candidates and tape the other one and watch it later."
