Major Closures Heading to 405, 605, 22 Freeways Tonight

However, no local closures are scheduled for local routes in Long Beach and Orange County on Super Bowl weekend.

A number of 405, 605 and 22 Freeway closures will begin tonight at about 10 p.m., according to the Orange County Transportation Authority.

There are no closures scheduled Saturday night or Sunday night. An updated closure schedule for next week will be sent on Monday morning.

Full Freeway Closures

Portions of the SR-22 and I-405 freeway will be closed between Valley View Street and Studebaker Road. 

  1. Northbound I-405 Freeway at Valley View Street
    • Closed from 11:59 p.m. Friday, February 1 to 6 a.m. Saturday, February 2
  2. Southbound I-405 Freeway from Studebaker Road to Bolsa Chica Road 
    • Closed from 11 p.m. Friday, February 1 to 6 a.m. Saturday, February 2

Connector Closures
The following local freeway connectors will be closed between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m. 

  1. Northbound I-405 Connector to Northbound I-605 Freeway
    • Closed from 11 p.m. Friday, February 1 to 5 a.m Saturday, February 2
  2. Southbound I-605 Connector to Southbound I-405 Freeway 
    • Closed from 11 p.m. Friday, February 1 to 5 a.m. Saturday, February 2
  3. 7th Street / Eastbound SR-22 Connector to Southbound 
    I-405 Freeway     
    • Closed from 11 p.m. Friday, February 1 to 5 a.m. Saturday, February 2
  4. Southbound I-405 & Southbound I-605 Connectors to Westbound SR-22 Freeway / 7th Street
    • Closed from 11 p.m. Friday, February 1 to 5 a.m. Saturday, February 2
  5. 7th Street / Eastbound SR-22 Connector to 
    Northbound I-605 Freeway
    • Closed from 11 p.m. Friday, February 1 to 5 a.m. Saturday, February 2 

Ramp Closures      
The following local freeway on- and off-ramps will be closed nightly between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. Specific dates are listed below.  

  1. Seal Beach Boulevard On-Ramp to Southbound I-405 Freeway
    • Closed from 10 p.m. Friday, February 1 to 5 a.m. Saturday, February 2
  2. Seal Beach Boulevard Off-Ramp from Northbound I-405 Freeway
    • Closed from 10 p.m. Friday, February 1 to 5 a.m. Saturday, February 2
  3. Studebaker Road On-Ramp to Eastbound SR-22 Freeway 
    • Closed from 10 p.m. Friday, February 1 to 5 a.m. Saturday, February 2

Road Closure

  1. Seal Beach Boulevard Closed between Old Ranch Parkway and North Gate Road
    • Closed from 10 p.m. Friday, February 1 to 5 a.m. Saturday, February 2
