Expect more traffic delays in Seal Beach starting Tuesday.
Rare daytime freeway closures are expected to jam up traffic where several freeways converge at the Los Angeles and Orange County borders.
Authorities advise locals to watch for congestion at the intersection of the 405 Freeway and Seal Beach Boulevard starting at about 9 a.m. March 12.
The 7th Street and eastbound 22 Freeway Connector to the northbound 605 Freeway will close from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. weekdays, according to the Orange County Transportation Authority.
Construction crews will conduct daytime pile-driving activities next to the connector for the next two weeks.
Also, the connector may be closed on-and-off for night work from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. during weekdays as well.
Here's suggested detour from the OCTA
- From 7th Street/eastbound SR-22, exit Studebaker Road and turn right. Then turn right on Willow Street to access the northbound I-605 freeway onramp.
