Woman With Head Injury Found Lying in Crosswalk

Also in local crime calls, someone stole a purse from a SUV while a woman was removing items from the vehicle.

  • 06/29/2013 — 5:22 p.m. — North Gate Road and Seal Beach Boulevard — A transient was setting up camp at the corner near the black Seal Beach sign.

DISTURBING THE PEACE — JUVENILES

  • 06/29/2013 — 7:24 p.m. — Almond Avenue — Juveniles in an older champagne-colored Toyota- or Honda-type vehicle were lighting fireworks and driving away.

  • 06/29/2013 — 8:30 p.m. — Ocean Avenue — A number of people were fishing on the pier and at least one of them was casting in the area were people were swimming.

UNKNOWN TROUBLE

  • 06/29/2013 — 8:45 p.m. — Anderson Street and Pacific Coast Highway — A woman was found injured in the middle of the street in the crosswalk. She had a head injury, possibly from a fall.

PETTY THEFT

  • 06/29/2013 — 10:44 p.m. — Pacific Coast Highway — Someone stole a purse from a DBL Yukon XL while the caller was bringing items out of the vehicle. The caller believes someone reached in and took it.
