Witchy Woman Blamed for Molotov Cocktail in Home

Also in local crime calls, two drivers bicker over parking spot.

By Amber Chao  Editor's Note: The following crime calls were made to the Seal Beach Police Department and listed on the SBPD dispatch log. 

PETTY THEFT

  • 05/21/2013 — 7:05 p.m. — 1st — A caller reported two bicycles stolen from a front porch. Worth about $600 altogether, one bike was a black and pink beach cruiser and the other was an antique bronze Schwinn bike. 
DISTURBANCE
  • 05/22/2013 — 6:11 p.m. — Cottonwood Lane — A woman got in an argument with her landlord about rent and eviction. The man was reportedly slamming doors and yelling. 
BURGLARY
  • 05/22/2013 — 7:42 p.m. — Crystal Cove Way — When he came home, a man found his room ransacked and $2,500 in cash missing, as well as some person items, missing. He said he thought it may be his roommate who moved out earlier that day. 
DISTURBANCE
  • 05/22/2013 — 1:58 p.m. — Seal Beach Boulevard —  Two drivers got into an argument over a parking spot. The SUV’s driver accused the truck driver of blocking the caller with her vehicle. The caller said there was no damage to the SUV.
CHECK AREA
  • 05/22/2013 — 4:00 p.m. — Seal Beach Boulevard and Golden Rain—The Long Beach Police Department asked SBPD to be on the lookout for a distraught woman wearing  a witch' hat who may have left a Molotov cocktail at a family member’s residence. The woman was described as five feet eight inches tall 190 pounds and wearing a black shirt, black pants. She also may possess bolt cutters.
