Victim Skates To Safety After Would-Be Robber Whips Out Knife

Also in Los Alamitos crime reports, a suspect robbed a store on Katella Avenue using a semi-automatic handgun, authorities said.

STOLEN VEHICLE

03/12/13 – 7:33PM – 3800 Catalina – A report of an unauthorized taking of a vehicle sometime in the past several hours.

ROBBERY

03/11/13 – 4:18PM – San Mateo and Kings – A report of an attempted robbery where the suspect used a pocket knife to demand the victim’s property. The victim fled the scene on his skateboard without surrendering his property or sustaining injury. The suspect is described as man 18-years-old, five foot ten inches and weighing 150 pounds.

3/15/13 – 5:09AM – 3500 Katella – A report of a robbery where the suspect used a semiautomatic handgun to demand money from an employee working behind the counter. The victim did not sustain any injuries and the suspect fled on foot. The suspect is described as a man in his late 20s to early 30s, six feet tall and weighing 175 pounds. 

AUTO BURGLARY

03/14/13 – 8:18AM – 10600 Walnut – A report of an unauthorized entry to a vehicle by unknown means and a loss of property from inside. The incident occurred sometime in the past month.

03/16/13 – 11:55AM – 10800 Bloomfield – A report of a vehicle window smashed and of property taken from inside. The incident occurred sometime within the past hour. Several hours later, authorities in a nearby city arrested someone suspected of possessing the stolen property. 

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY/SHOPLIFT

03/10/13 – 11:16AM – 10500 Los Alamitos Blvd. – A report of an unauthorized entry into a business from the building’s roof that resulted in a loss of property sometime overnight.

03/12/13 – 11:03AM – 10800 Los Alamitos Blvd. – A report of an unauthorized entry into a business from the building’s roof that resulted in a loss of property sometime overnight.

03/14/13 – 12:30PM – 11000 Los Alamitos Blvd. – A report of an unauthorized taking of property from a business in the past several minutes.

03/15/13 – 7:13AM – 3800 Cerritos – A report of an unauthorized entry into a business from the building’s roof that resulted in a loss of property sometime overnight.

ASSAULT

3/16/13 – 3:07AM – Maple and Howard – A physical altercation occurred stemming from an attempt to resolve a civil dispute between a female and several male subjects. A male and female victim sustained injuries, with the male victim being transported to a local hospital for further treatment. The primary suspect was identified as an 18 year old man, six feet tall and weighing 170 pounds.

DUI

03/15/13 – 1:31AM – Katella and Los Alamitos Blvd. – A report of a person driving under the influence. A 35-year-old San Diego man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.

03/16/13 – 1:22AM – 10900 Cherry – A traffic enforcement stop. A 34-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence. 

THEFT

03/12/13 – 2:39PM – 10500 Los Alamitos Blvd. – A report of an unauthorized taking of property from the business sometime over the past several days.

IDENTITY THEFT/CREDIT CARD/CHECK FRAUD

03/15/13 – 3:27PM – 10600 Reagan – A report of a fraudulent transaction using a forged check sometime earlier in the day.

MISCELLANEOUS

03/10/13 – 1:13PM – 4000 Farquhar – A report of a disturbance. A 34-year-old male was arrested on suspicion of domestic battery.

3/11/13 – 12:11AM – Katella and Enterprise – A traffic enforcement stop. A 63-year-old woman from Los Alamitos was arrested for an outstanding warrant.

03/11/13 – 4:59PM – 3600 Farquhar – A report of suspicious persons loitering. A 27-year-old Buena Park woman for an outstanding warrant.

03/13/13 – 12:55AM – Los Alamitos Blvd. and Katella – A traffic enforcement stop. A Hawaiian Gardens man, 32, was arrested for outstanding warrants.
