Vehicle Reported on Fire on St. Andrews Drive

Also in a Seal Beach crime calls, someone wanted to turn in two vintage single-shot pistols for destruction.

Editor's Note: The following crime calls were made to the Seal Beach Police Department and listed on the SBPD dispatch log. 

DISTURBANCE JUVENILE

  • 03/16/2013 — 12:23 p.m. — Montecito Road, — Ten juveniles were skateboarding in a parking garage. They were reportedly hard to see and causing a traffic problem, and the caller was concerned about their welfare. 

VEHICLE FIRE

  • 03/16/2013 — 3:31 p.m. — St. Andrews Drive — A vehicle was reported on fire. The Orange County Fire Authority responded to the incident.

LOST PROPERTY

  • 03/16/2013 — 5:29 p.m. — 1st Street — A caller said she drove away from a local parking with her purse on the vehicle by accident. She said she thought the purse was at the location and hadn't been turned into nearby security. She eventually found the purse.

PROPERTY FOR DESTRUCTION

  • 03/16/2013 — 5:32 p.m. — Sea View Lane — A caller wanted to turn in two vintage single-shot pistols and some ammo for destruction.

SUSPICIOUS PERSON

  • 03/16/2013 — 6:40 p.m. — C Row — A man in his 20s or 30s tried to enter someone’s garage and was picking up items under people’s cars. He was described as five feet two inches tall, with a heavy build and black hair, a black shirt and a tattoo on one leg.
