Updated: Wreck Slows Southbound 405 Freeway

Most lanes are reopened, but traffic is still slowed following a two-car wreck on the southbound 405 south of Seal Beach Boulevard.

The southbound San Diego (405) Freeway is reopened to traffic this morning, following a two-car wreck that temporarily blocked all southbound lanes just south of Valley View Street.

Traffic remains slow between Seal Beach Boulevard and Westminster Boulevard as California Highway Patrol deals with a wrecked vehicle that has been pushed to the side of the road.

The accident happened just after 11 a.m. when a small black SUV struck the center divider, bounced across all lanes of the freeway and struck another vehicle in the slow lane, and stopping perpendicular to oncoming traffic, according to the CHP.
