Los Alamitos had its first week of the year with no reports of robberies, car break-ins or shoplifting, according to the most recent Los Alamitos Police Department’s weekly crime summary. Typically, car break-ins represent one of the more common crimes in Los Alamitos. There were also no reports of theft or identity theft. The most serious property crime of the week was one report of a stolen vehicle.
STOLEN VEHICLE
- 2/16/12 – 1:59 PM – 11200 Reagan – A vehicle taken last week from the area of 10600 Walnut St. was recovered.
DUI
- 2/12/12 – 3:35 AM – Katella and Lexington – Non-injury traffic collision. A 20 year-old woman from Cypress was arrested on suspicion of DUI.
- 2/14/12 – 9:30 AM – Los Alamitos Blvd. and Farquhar – Traffic stop. A 40 year-old man from Los Angeles was arrested on suspicion of DUI.
POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE
- 2/17/12 – 6:53 PM – 4200 Katella Ave. – A report of a disturbance. A 25 year-old man from Lakewood was arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance without a prescription.
